According to reports, it looks like Marouane Fellaini is on his way out of Manchester United.

Turkish club Galatasaray’s sporting director Cenk Ergun has claimed that the club is very close to signing Marouane Fellaini.

Ergun said, “We are in talks with Fellaini. We have made an approach,”

“We need a player like Fellaini who can move around in midfield. Fellaini will leave Manchester United and he is now in our radar.”

Well, Ergun got one thing right in his statement. Fellaini moves around in midfield, that’s what he basically does. Fellaini joined United in 2013 as he became the first big signing under the David Moyes era. And since then, the big Belgian has consistently been one of the least talented players in the United squad. His performances at one point of time hit such a low that he was booed by his own fans. But it looked like Jose Mourinho somehow had full faith in the Belgian even defending the player publicly on multiple occasions. And hence the United fans more or less had accepted the fact that Fellaini was going to be a United player.

But now with this current bit of news, many United faithful took to Twitter to show their happiness.

A replacement already lined up?

Fellaini did not have a particularly good season at United last time around, but Jose Mourinho kept on selecting him just cause he needed someone to do the dirty work. Now that Fellaini might be moving out of Old Trafford, many experts feel that Mourinho might already have a replacement lined up. And it looks like it’s going to be Nemanja Matic.

United have been chasing Matic for quite some time now and the potential selling of Fellaini can only mean that the Red Devils have struck a deal with Chelsea for the move of the Serbian midfielder.
