Was one of the three central defenders and stuck to his job pretty well.

Came back from injury to give a fine performance. Was decisive in the air and managed to win most of his headers.

Eric Bailly: 8.5/10

Playing his first match since the international break, Bailly was the main authority in the defensive line.

Ashley Young: 9/10

Easily one of the best players in the match for Man Utd. Defensively brilliant and equally brilliant while going up front.

Nemanja Matic: 8.5/10

Was good defensively and broke up many Spurs attack.

Was good but was cynical of simulation a couple of times.

Got one good long ranger which whiskered away from the far post.

Was not up to mark in the first half. Lost the ball numerous times but got his act back on track in the second half. Was substituted on the hour mark.

Lost the ball couple of times. But came up with the all-important header which led to the goal.
