Will Marouane Fellaini face punishment for his ‘unethical’ challenge on Matteo Guendouzi?

Marouane Fellaini is known to be a clumsy player which has caused him to have a love-hate relationship with the Manchester United fans.

This season though, the big midfielder has been a key figure for Jose Mourinho often popping up with late crucial goals for the team.

While Fellaini did not manage to score during Man United’s 2-2 draw vs Arsenal on Wednesday but once again the midfielder has come under the limelight.

Marouane Fellaini came on as a second-half substitute and while defending a move, the Belgium international committed a foul on Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi.

At first, it looks like a normal tackle but replays revealed that Fellaini had pulled Guendouzi’s hair in trying to hold him back.

This move from the Belgian has caused a fair bit of uproar with many calling the midfielder to be banned.

Surprisingly, Marouane Fellaini did not receive any caution for his actions but now reports are suggesting that the FA are looking into this matter.

This is not the first time that a player has committed such an incident and even former Arsenal player Ian Wright did such a thing back in 1996.

Wright received a three-match ban for his hair pulling and many believe Marouane Fellaini is also going down the same lines.

If the FA find the incident to be very cynical then the Man United midfielder could face a retrospective ban for pulling Matteo Guendouzi’s hair.

Manchester United dropped points once again at home but this time around the players played some good attacking football against a side who are currently on an unbeaten streak.

The 2-2 draw though will be of little help for Jose Mourinho’s men as they move further away from that top-four spot.
