Martin Odegaard has not found life easy after returning back to Real Madrid and according to the latest reports, the Norwegian could seek a return to Arsenal in the coming weeks.

A lot of gossip has been doing the rounds over the past few days about the 22-year-old returning to England and in a recent update, Fabrizio Romano has also admitted that if Real Madrid cannot sell Isco then getting rid of Martin Odegaard remains a viable option.

Fabrizio Romano said on his Twitch stream, as quoted: “He was really happy at Arsenal, he really enjoyed his time at Arsenal.

“The board, Edu, everyone at the club loves the player. Keep an eye on this one until the last day.

“If Real Madrid can’t sell Isco, maybe there will be a possibility for Odegaard to join Arsenal on a permanent deal.

“I would keep an eye on Arsenal until the last week of August. I am sure they love the player, and Odegaard would be open if Real Madrid changed their position.”

Will Arsenal try and sign Isco or Martin Odegaard?

Mikel Arteta will love to bring Martin Odegaard back to the club this summer but the funny thing is that the Gunners are also being linked with Isco.

Isco is not likely to have a future at Real Madrid under their new boss which has promoted Arsenal to make a move for him.

The 29-year-old will be available on a bargain deal since he has just entered the final year of his contract and we think, it makes more sense to try and sign him instead of bringing back Martin Odegaard.

Obviously, Odegaard is familiar with life at the Emirates but Isco is a far better player than the Norwegian and if Arsenal are serious about getting back into the top-four then Isco is the man to help them.
