Arsenal have been offered the services of Philippe Coutinho and this new development could really affect their interest in Martin Odegaard.

Sky Sports are claiming that Barcelona are interested in signing Aubameyang and they want to bring him on board via a swap deal with Coutinho.

And since Arsenal’s need for a new attacking midfielder is an open secret, this offer should be really tempting for manager Mikel Arteta.

Will Arsenal scrap their interest in Martin Odegaard & sign Coutinho?

Philippe Coutinho will be a really tempting offer thanks to all the great performances he had with Liverpool over the years. But we don’t think Arsenal will be too eager to bring him on board, especially in a swap deal for Aubameyang.

Aubameyang is the only truly world-class player left in Arsenal’s attacking department so the last thing Mikel Arteta will want is to create another mess by letting him leave.

Also, Martin Odegaard is really close to joining Arsenal on a permanent deal as Real Madrid have now allowed him to leave. So Arsenal will not want to backtrack at the final moment and then start from scratch in terms of Coutinho.

Most reports in England claim Martin Odegaard should be returning to Arsenal by the end of this week so there’s no way Arsenal will pull the plug on this deal right now.

Responding to the Arsenal rumours, Norway manager Ståle Solbakken has backed Odegaard to join the Emirates outfit.

Solbakken said, as per Sport Witness: “I’m sure it is. He has many opportunities, many who want him. So, he, his representatives and his family will find out. He has been very good at picking out the right clubs in the past.”
