Matteo Guendouzi has fallen down the pecking order at Arsenal during the past couple of weeks and as per the rumours, the midfielder is about to be sold by Mikel Arteta.

A number of attitude issues both on and off the pitch have prompted the Arsenal boss to make such a call and various publications claim the player has already been put up for sale.

And we had a hint of this decision a couple of days ago when asked about Matteo Guendouzi starting against Norwich City, Arteta chose to give a rather blunt response.

The manager said: “I said that everybody that I have in the squad, my job is to get the maximum out of them and to try to help them and support them. And if they are willing, everybody is welcome.

“I always hope that the players want to give their best.”

And now Arsenal transfer expert David Ornstein has revealed that Arsenal are looking to offer Matteo Guendouzi as part of a swap deal during the upcoming summer transfer window.

He said, as quoted: ‘I think it looks like his time at Arsenal is coming to an end.

‘Arsenal are offering him in exchange for players they might like to come in in swap deals.’

‘If they as a club think they can bring in money, significant money, or a big swap deal, then clearly that’s something they’ve thought through & as things stand, there’s a good chance he’ll be leaving.’

Guendouzi’s time at Arsenal certainly seems to be over since he has not featured in the starting XI since that incident against Neal Maupay.

And now with Lucas Torreira returning from injury, we do not think the young Frenchman will get to start any more matches for the Emirates outfit for the remainder of the season.

No club has shown a concrete interest in Matteo Guendouzi but there have been whispers that the midfielder might head to the La Liga if Arsenal let him go.
