Mauricio Pochettino Chelsea manager

Manchester United sacked Jose Mourinho last December after a very average first half of the season.

While the Portuguese had been adamant that he was doing his best with the players at his disposal but it was the boring style of football that got into everyone’s nerves.

Last weeks reports had claimed that Man United had to shell out £20million in compensation in order to sack Mourinho.

And after the arrival of Solskajer sacking Jose Mourinho looks like a bargain deal.

Solskjaer has been named the caretaker boss until the end of the season until the club tries to find a new permanent boss.

But many believe that if the Norwegian can bring home a trophy then Ed Woodward might actually hand the job to him.

Even though this opinion has found many supporting voices but the fact remains the Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino still remains the favourite to become the next Man United manager.

Pochettino is currently under contract at Spurs until 2023 meaning the Argentine still has four full seasons left.

While the manager has always claimed that he is happy with the Lilywhites and has no intention to leave but many believe when United come calling it will be very hard for Mauricio Pochettino to turn them down.

And now according to a report, Man United will once again have to empty their pockets if they wish to get the services of Mauricio Pochettino.

It is being claimed that the Red Devils will have to pay £34 million in compensation to Tottenham if Mauricio Pochettino decides to move to Old Trafford.

This is undoubtedly a huge fee to pay for a manager but given the number of flop signings Man United have made in the past few seasons, spending big on a good manager is a risk worth taking.
