Tottenham Hotspur travel across London to take on Chelsea in the Premier League this Wednesday.

And this game is of utmost importance to both the clubs.

Spurs, on one hand, have lost considerable ground in the title race after their defeat at the hands of Burnley this past weekend and a loss against Chelsea would mean that the Lilywhites could very well be knocked out of the challenge.

Chelsea, on the other hand, have been going through a poor run of form and the Blues recently lost the Carabao Cup final to Manchester City.

And according to The Telegraph, the Spurs game could be the last chance for Maurizio Sarri to revive his career.

Sarri has been on the brink of losing his job and many believed that the manager will be sacked after the loss to City.

That though, was not the case and now the report suggests that Maurizio Sarri will get one more chance vs Spurs this Wednesday.

If the Blues were to go down vs their London rivals then it is more or less certain that the Italian will have to pack his bags.

There’s a fair bit of doubt as to who will replace Maurizio Sarri if he was to be sacked especially now that the Blues have been slapped with a transfer ban.

But it looks like the Chelsea management are no longer willing to accept mediocrity from Maurizio Sarri and they are now ready to take on concrete steps.

Much like Maurizio Sarri, a lot will be in stake for Spurs as well since a defeat could mean that the London outfit could move nine points behind the league leaders.
