Liverpool brought in Naby Keita from RB Leipzig last summer and many pundits thought that the 24-year-old was going to be the main man for Jurgen Klopp’s midfield.

But the Guinean international has found it really hard to get into the first Xi for Liverpool especially during the first half of the season.

Naby Keita has so far played just 19 games in the Premier League and most of these appearances have come from the bench.

In the Champions League, the record is even poorer as the midfielder has managed to accumulate only 54 minutes of game time this campaign.

And fellow midfielder Jordan Henderson admits that Naby Keita has endured a tough couple of months in England but the fans are yet to see the best of him.

Speaking via liverpoolfc.com, Henderson said: “I think everyone can see how good Naby is as a footballer, but as I know myself coming to Liverpool, it’s such a huge club – and especially changing to the Premier League – is tough.

“It takes time to adapt. I think he’s done really well in certain games he’s played and I can see him getting used to the way we’re playing and the manager has helped him improve, and I can definitely see the potential you can see coming out of him.

“At the same time it takes time to feel right at home, but in the last couple of games you can see the quality that he gives the team and how good he is.”

During the past couple of weeks though, things have taken a positive turn for Naby Keita has he has featured regularly under Jurgen Klopp and the midfielder is also expected to start in midfield when Bayern Munich visit Anfield on Tuesday.
