Manchester United have finally got Nemanja Matic from Chelsea and now we can safely say that Mourinho has his first eleven. Even though United are being linked with a host of other players every day but their current squad is quite capable of competing with the top of European football.

We take a look at how Manchester United might line up next season:

Goalkeeper:

With De Gea committing his future to the Red Devils, Mourinho now has at his disposal two world class keepers. And given the fact that United will be attacking all fronts from the next season, it is nothing short of a blessing for the Portuguese manager.

De Gea will definitely be the first choice keeper for Mourinho but expect Romero to also feature heavily throughout the length of the season.

Defence:

Mourinho currently has four central defenders at his disposal which include the team’s first summer signing, Victor Lindelof. Lindelof and Eric Bailly will definitely be the central defenders of choice for Manchester United at the start of the season. But if things do not go as expected for the duo then Mourinho can easily fall back to the likes of Phil Jones and Chris Smalling.

Antonio Valencia has made the right-back position his own and Mourinho will definitely start every match with him in that position. But as far as the left-back spot is concerned, Mourinho still has to figure out the best player for this position. While the manager has a few options but we assume that he will go with Daley Blind as his first choice left-back.

Midfield:

United will most likely go with a three man midfield with latest signing Nemanja Matic likely to play the anchor in the front of the defense. Herrera will be the other midfielder and he will have a bit more freedom as compared to Matic. The Spaniard will move forward or come down depending where his team needs him the most.

Pogba will definitely play a much-advanced role this time around. Last season one of the main reasons for Pogba not playing up to his potential was the fact that he was playing way too deep. But now Mourinho has brought in the proper reinforcements to make sure Pogba plays in the position which suits him the best.

Attack:

Mourinho will most likely field a team which has three attacking players, two on either wing and one down the middle. While the Armenian Henrikh Mkhitaryan will most likely operate from the right-wing, Marcus Rashford will be the one who will play down the left side of the pitch. But upfront also Mourinho has a lot of back up players like Mata and Marital who can fill in from time to time.

New signing Romelu Lukaku will be the lone striker of the team and will also be the focal point of the attacks that United carry out.
