Croatia beat England 2-1 during the 2018 World Cup semi-final and with that the small nation of just 4.2 million people will be playing their first-ever final on Sunday.
It was England who took first blood during the game thanks to a superb free-kick by Kieran Trippier and the Three Lions looked en route to their first final in decades.
But instead of grabbing the game by the throats, England went into a shell and it was Croatia who shifted gears and ultimately levelled the match through Ivan Perisic – pushing the match into extra-time.
This was Croatia’s third game that had gone into extra-time which led many to believe that Luka Modric and co would be the victim of fatigue.
But it was England who looked lacklustre and eventually went 2-1 down after Mario Mandzukic thumped in the second goal for Croatia.
After Croatia scored the equaliser, England did not have any answers to it and eventually bowed out of the tournament.
What a lot of people failed to understand though is when England were 1-0 up, they had a glorious chance of making it 2-0 and putting the game out of reach of Croatia.
The chance fell to Harry Kane who was one-on-one with Croatian keeper Danijel Subasic but instead of putting the ball into the back of the net, the striker forced a great save from the goalkeeper.
But the rebound fell right at the feet of Harry Kane and all the player had to do was put it into the back of the net.
Instead, the Spurs man hit the post.
Or so everyone thought – up until now.
New slow-motion footage has revealed that Harry Kane had not directly hit the post but it was, in fact, Croatia’s No 1 Subasic who got the faintest of touches.
Subasic’s touch resulted in the ball hitting the post and eventually going out of play.
I’ve only just realised this was actually a save. Give Subasic the Golden Glove now imo #WorldCup #CRO https://t.co/Rjj6pR2XM5

Harry Kane was flagged offside by the linesman but replays revealed that the striker was in fact on when he received the ball.
