Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos had a fine 2018-19 season but there are heavy rumours that the player could be on his way out of the club this summer.

Last campaign, the Colombian scored 30 goals and made 11 assists for the Gers across all competitions and right now a number of top European clubs have shown interest in signing the striker.

But one club which has been tipped as the most favourable destination for Alfredo Morelos.

Newcastle United are out in the market looking for a new centre-forward and many reports claim that Rafa Benitez has his eyes set on the Colombian.

Getting their hands on the striker will not be easy since a number of top European clubs are also queuing up to sign him during the summer transfer window.

But here’s the two biggest reasons why the Magpies are the favourites to land Alfredo Morelos:

The first one is the fact that the Rangers man has himself claimed that is it his ultimate dream to play in the Premier League someday.

The second reason why this transfer might go through is because of the close connection between Rafa and Steven Gerrard who is currently the manager at Rangers.

Now though there’s another big reason for Newcastle to rejoice.

As per reports, Eintracht Frankfurt – one of the club’s interested in signing Alfredo Morelos have pulled out of the race.

Frankfurt recently sold Luka Jovic to Real Madrid which means they are out in the market for a new striker but it is being claimed that Alfredo Morelos is not too keen to move to Germany.

This definitely gives Newcastle United added hope in the signing of the Colombian this summer.
