West Ham United are looking for an alternative to Jesse Lingard and as per the latest reports, the Hammers are trying to get a deal done for Nikola Vlasic.

The Hammers have been previously linked with the CSKA Moscow and since Man United are not letting Jesse Lingard go, Moyes is trying to get his hands on Vlasic before deadline day.

According to Italian journalist Daniele Longo, West Ham are now in pole position to sign Nikola Vlasic.

He tweeted: “West Ham on pole for Vlasic, scheduled contact in the evening with the agent of the Croatian national team. The Hammers are approaching the €30 million demand.”

West Ham United to complete the deal in time?

AC Milan were also trying to sign Vlasic this summer but they have been pulled the plug on this deal due to the hefty price tag.

But given his brief experience in the Premier League with Everton, it looks like West Ham are ready to take a gamble with the 23-year-old.

He still has three more years left on his current deal and is currently valued at €30 million so the Hammers are not paying too much for the midfielder. And since no other club is seriously interested in him, the Hammers should be able to see this one over the line in time.

Will Nikola Vlasic be a safe bet for West Ham United?

During the 2020-21 season, Nikola Vlasic scored 11 goals and provided five assists in 26 league matches for CSKA. And since he has spent some time in England, he could be the perfect heir to Jesse Lingard.

Last campaign he had an average rating of 7.42 out of 10 playing 2252 minutes in the league. He made 1111 passes out of which 73 were key passes.

He tried 80 dribbles on the pitch out of which he was successful 43 times.
