Two Premier League clubs who are now favourites to land this French forward: Where’s he headed?

According to a report in Football London, the bookmakers think forward Odsonne Edouard is likely to move to the Premier League from Celtic this summer.

The forward has been heavily linked with an exit and a number of big European clubs want to bring him on board at the end of the 2019-20 season.

But according to bookmakers Oddschecker, Arsenal are in the front of the queue to sign the Frenchman followed by Premier League rivals Manchester United.

“With 22 goals, Odsonne Edouard was running away with the Scottish Premiership top scorer accolade before the season was prematurely brought to a halt,” Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson said, as reported by Football London.

“Fine domestic form and a string of incredibly impressive performances in Europe not surprisingly piqued the interest of Arsenal and United.

“With Aubameyang seemingly leaving the former after this summer, Edouard could well be the replacement waiting in the wings.”

Man United or Arsenal: Where is Odsonne Edouard headed?

Celtic want around £25-35 million as transfer fee for Edouard which should not be an obstacle for Manchester United but Solskjaer currently has other targets in mind.

The Man United boss is looking at players like Harry Kane and Raul Jimenez and hence will only shift his focus to Odsonne Edouard once he cannot sign his other high priority targets.

Arsenal, on the other hand badly need a new centre-forward and Mikel Arteta has been keeping tabs on the Celtic forward for a couple of months now.

The price tag might be a bit steep for the Gunners but if Arteta can manage to sell off Alexandre Lacazette to Barcelona then funding a move for Odsonne Edouard should not be a major cause of concern for the North London club.

Celtic will love to hold onto the 22-year-old for one more season but they will most certainly agree to sell him if a suitor is interested in paying the correct transfer fee.

During the 2019-20 season, Odsonne Edouard has played in 27 Premiership games, scoring 21 and assisting 12 goals.
