Everton have joined Arsenal in the race to sign 24-year-old striker Patrik Schick from AS Roma in the summer – as per reports.

The update claims: “Patrick is playing little in the Bundesliga in Leipzig, but he has a market: the Giallorossi club aims to get a good capital gain, with Everton and Arsenal at the window, but he also has the hope that he can still convince the Germans.

“Patrik Schick, by age (24 years) and potential seems one of the most interesting names of the next market, with the Premier that could be his next destination.”

The Roma man is currently out on loan to RB Leipzig for the 2019-20 season and so far, he’s played in 16 Bundesliga matches, scoring seven and assisting two goals.

Everton or Arsenal: Where will Patrik Schick head to?

Patrik Schick is reportedly happy in Germany and Leipzig do have an option to buy him permanently this summer but some rumours claim the German outfit might not trigger that clause.

If the loan deal does not materialize into a permanent one then there’s a possibility that Schick could be heading to the Premier League since AS Roma have no plans of holding onto him.

Everton are reportedly looking at Patrik Schick as the replacement to Moise Kean while Arsenal want to sign the 24-year-old as the replacement to Aubameyang who is expected to move out in the summer.

Over the past couple of weeks, Arsenal were said to be the frontrunners in signing the Czech international but now this entry of the Toffees is sure to shake things up.

Roma paid €29 million for Patrick Schick in 2018 and as per the report, the Serie A side want around €27 million in order to sanction a sale in the summer.

While this requested fee is well within the reaches of both the Premier League clubs but we think Everton, as well as Arsenal, could ask for a discount since the forward has only two years left on his current deal and right now he is not wanted by the Italian club.

But having said this, if RB Leipzig do decide to trigger the option to buy then Patrik Schick will most certainly want to remain in Germany next season.
