Manchester United will make a move for Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish no matter what the future holds for Paul Pogba, according to a report in the Express.

All throughout this season, Man United have been linked with the Aston Villa playmaker and a couple of days ago, Paul Merson had hinted that the 24-year-old will be on his way out of Villa Park if the club cannot keep their Premier League status next season.

“I would say 100% [Grealish will leave]. If Villa go down then I think they will get rid of Jack and he will be sold,” Merson told Sky Sports, as quoted by Express.

“He’s a Villa man through and through, he loves Aston Villa. But he will have to move on, there is no doubt about that if he wants to better himself.

“It’s horrible saying that, better yourself, because it’s a great club, but he will have to play in the Premier League.”

And as per the Express, Man United have stepped up their pursuit of Jack Grealish and want to sign the playmaker even if Paul Pogba chooses to stay at the club beyond the summer.

Is Paul Pogba truly on his way out of Man United?

Paul Pogba time and again has hinted that he wishes to move out of Old Trafford at the end of the season and everyone was certain that Solskjaer will make a move for Grealish if he has to part ways with the Frenchman.

Now it looks like, the Norwegian boss wants the Aston Villa man at any cost which could be a big problem in trying to hold onto Paul Pogba.

If Jack Grealish arrives at Manchester United, he along with the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Scott McTominay and Fred will provide serious competition to Pogba which is the last thing the World Cup winner will want after an injury-hit season.

Some experts believe Paul Pogba might commit his future to Man United now that the club are making all the right signings but if Jack Grealish was to arrive then the French international could once again start packing his bags.

There’s no way Pogba, Grealish and Bruno Fernandes can all play in the same starting line-up so either Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have to drop his interest in the Aston Villa man or let Paul Pogba move out in the summer.
