Man United take on Liverpool in the English Premier League this Sunday and midfielder Paul Pogba has been ruled out of that match.

The Frenchman has been playing with pain in his ankle for some time now and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has now confirmed that he will not play any part on Sunday.

While this surely is a huge blow for Man United but instead of his injury, everyone has been busy talking about his meeting with Zinedine Zidane in Dubai.

As soon as pictures of Paul Pogba chatting with Zizou became public, there have been rumours about the Real Madrid boss trying to persuade the World Cup winner to join his side next summer.

But when Solskjaer was asked about this meeting the Man United boss very categorically made it clear that he has no problems with the pair bumping into each other.

“Paul is part of our plan going forward,” Solskjaer said[as reported by MEN].

“And I’ve spoken to Paul so many times. He’s been playing through the pain barrier.

“He’s been criticised left, right and centre, but when he came back, Rochdale, Arsenal he could have easily opted not played in them.

“He wanted to play, to try to get back, it was too painful. He had that scan, he’s on the way back, he’s mending, he’s recovering, he’s been on a few days off – working – but he’s away from here.

“And it’s a picture. When you’re at Man United you do get pictures, speculation. I don’t have any problem with that at all.”

Paul Pogba has been linked with a move out of Manchester United throughout the summer and even his agent Mino Raiola had come out to claim that the player was looking for a new club. And on top of that Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has been a big admirer of the midfielder.

So naturally, it shouldn’t come as a surprise if the Real Madrid boss did talk about a possible transfer during their meeting in Dubai.

But leaving the gossip aside, Paul Pogba has gone on to show his importance to Man United this season since without him in the first XI, Ole’s side have failed to produce that spark while going forward.
