During the summer transfer window, Manchester City were the leaders in signing Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal. But the deal collapsed on deadline day after Thomas Lemar rejected a move to Arsenal, as a result of which Wenger refused to let go of Sanchez even though his contract expires next summer. But now it looks as if Guardiola might just lose out on the deal as a few other clubs have shown interest in signing the Chilean.

A few reports have been doing the rounds that Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has also been targetting Alexis Sanchez for a January move. And now according to MEN, Ligue 1 club PSG have grown interested in the player.

While United’s interest is not really a cause of concern for Guardiola but the interest from PSG is something that might just push the ball away from their court. Arsenal have always wanted to sell off Sanchez to a non-Premier League club but not a lot of clubs had shown interest in the player. As a result of which Manchester City were always the strongest contenders. But after the rift between Neymar and Cavani, the PSG owners are reportedly looking for a replacement for Cavani in the form of Alexis Sanchez.

And if this bit of news has any sort of truth in it, then Arsenal will always prefer to make a deal with PSG rather than Manchester City.

It looks as if all the interested parties will jump into sign the player during January as Arsenal will want to offload him and still make money out of out him.
