The 2021/22 Premier League season is just around the corner and before the new campaign kicks off, we take a look at the forwards who are likely to shine for their respective sides.

Last season, it was Harry Kane who was once again the star of the campaign, scoring 23 goals, despite Tottenham Hotspur having a really poor campaign under Jose Mourinho. Jack Grealish and Bruno Fernandes were the other forwards who managed to grab a lot of attention thanks to their fine supporting play in the final third.

Not a lot is expected to change during the 2021/22 season since these very same players will look to light up the Premier League. But, there’s a big possibility that stars like Kane and Jack Grealish could find success at a new club.

Man City are once again going to be the favourites to lift the league title but unlike the previous season, Pep Guardiola’s side are not going to have a merry walk to the finish line.

Liverpool are going to get their act straight after a really poor 20/21 campaign while Man United are also expected to become a more fierce challenger thanks to their marquee signings.

In this piece, we name five forwards who are expected to light up the Premier League stage in the coming months.

Jack Grealish:

Jack Grealish had a wonderful campaign for Aston Villa and then he went on to shine for England in the European Championship.

The winger was one of the best players for the Three Lions during the summer and there’s a big chance he could join Manchester City in a big-money move. Various reports are suggesting that Villa will accept a £100 million bid from City and if that happens then Man City could almost be unbeatable with Grealish on the left wing.

Harry Kane:

Harry Kane scored 23 and assisted 14 goals for a dismal Spurs side last season and he is another player who has been tipped for a summer move.

Man City remain highly interested in signing the England international despite Daniel Levy making it clear many a time that the forward is not up for sale.

Winning the Golden Boot has become a habit for Kane and he will remain the favourite to win the Golden Boot for the 2021/22 season as well, irrespective of where he lands up in the next few weeks.

Levy will love to hold onto Kane but some pundits also believe that a good enough offer will force him to part ways with the centre-forward.

Raheem Sterling:

Raheem Sterling had a really muted 20-21 campaign for Manchester City and it looked like his time at City was almost over.

But during the summer, the forward has completely turned around his career thanks to his fine performances with the England national side. He was one of the main reasons why Southgate’s side went on to play in the finals.

Guardiola is bound to give him more importance this time around but at the same time, it will be interesting to see how he handles Raheem Sterling if Jack Grealish also arrives at the Etihad.

Jadon Sancho:

Jadon Sancho has returned to the Premier League after a super successful time with Borussia Dortmund in Germany.

Manchester United had been chasing Sancho for more than a year and they had finally managed to bring him on board this summer.

The former Man City man will straight away become one of the key attacking players at Old Trafford and many believe him along with Varane could hold the key to helping United win their first Premier League trophy in the post-Ferguson era.

Mo Salah:

Liverpool had a really underwhelming season but Mo Salah still managed to make all the expectations.

The Egyptian ended up scoring 22 goals in the league, thereby becoming the second-highest scorer after Harry Kane.

His goals were especially crucial in helping Liverpool get back into the top-four by the end of the campaign and cover the average performances of players like Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.

Salah will once again be at the top of the game but his attacking partners will have to step up and support him this time around or else Liverpool will once again be devoid of a trophy.
