The 2022/23 Premier League season is just around the corner so naturally, all the early predictions are pouring in.

The latest pundit who has predicted the Premier League top four is Ray Parlour and he believes Arsenal are going to struggle to leap above Spurs this season.

He’s put his money on Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea to be the top three sides next season while he feels the Gunners will need to find balance in order to get back into the Champions League.

“We all look at Manchester City and Liverpool, they are so far above everybody,” said Parlour, as quoted by HITC. “Chelsea are looking strong as well. They are going to have a go. They have their new owners. I am sure they are going to be very successful going forward as well.

“Spurs are looking good. They have strengthened. Every single team has strengthened. It’s going to be difficult (for Arsenal), but you have to believe you can do it. It’s a young side, so they have to learn from their mistakes from last season.

“Hopefully, they can go one better and get that Champions League because financially for the club it’s great and you can then attract the great players.”

Which teams will finish in the top four of the Premier League?

Ray Parlour did not even mention Manchester United in his prediction but we think the Red Devils could be the dark horses this coming season.

Erik ten Hag has arrived with a proper plan and if his players can embody the new philosophy then the likes of Spurs and Arsenal will be in big trouble.

Based purely on the summer business, Tottenham are without a doubt the favourites to finish in the top four but the transfer window has not shut yet so Arsenal and Man United can still revamp their squad to a large extent.

Man City and Liverpool are pretty much the top two, more so because Thomas Tuchel is reshaping his team which means finding the rhythm instantly could take some time for the Blues.

The top-three is more or less set but there’s no way the fourth place is guaranteed for Spurs. Both Arsenal and Manchester United are trying to fix their problem areas before the new Premier League season kicks off so they too will be pinning their hopes on a top-four finish.
