Man United take on Leicester City in the Premier League this weekend and the club have confirmed that Raphael Varane will miss this game with an injury. And if this was not enough then the French defender is not going to be available for the Liverpool game either

The defender picked up a groin injury while playing for France during the international break and it was more or less certain that he will not be fit to play during the weekend.

And after further tests, Manchester United have revealed that Raphael Varane will be out for a few weeks.

The statement reads: “Raphael Varane sustained a groin muscle injury in the UEFA Nations League final and has commenced rehabilitation at the club.

“He will be out for a few weeks.”

The injury has come at the worst possible time for the Manchester United manager as his side are struggling to find consistency this season and Leicester City are one of the stronger sides in the league.

And to make matters worse, Harry Maguire is also on the sidelines meaning Bailly and Lindelof will have to pair up in central defence against the Foxes.

This pair has hardly played any games together meaning Ole will be under major pressure and if this pairing fails then even his job could be on the line.

Raphael Varane will be out for a few weeks meaning apart from the Leicester City game, he will also miss the Liverpool game and the Champions League clash vs Atalanta.

Solskjaer will be hoping that Maguire will return to full fitness by the time United face Liverpool or else the Old Trafford outfit could be under all sorts of pressure.
