Raphael Varane Man United

Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane is might be available in the transfer market this summer and as per reports, he could be heading to the Premier League.

Manchester United have been heavily linked with the defender but according to Foot Mercato, Chelsea have also joined the race to sign the French international.

Raphael Varane has featured in 31 La Liga games for Real Madrid during the 2021/22 season and he has only one more year left on his current deal at the club. And as per some rumours, he is not too keen to sign a new contract with the club.

Varane is likely looking for a fresh challenge and is ready to try his mettle in the Premier League next season.

Man United are looking at Raphael Varane as the long-term partner to Harry Maguire but this fresh interest from Chelsea is sure to pose a big problem for Solskjaer.

Chelsea have just won the Champions League and Thomas Tuchel is eager to keep this momentum going for the next season by bringing in some necessary reinforcements.

Tuchel does have a few central defenders at his disposal but players like Kurt Zouma and Christensen could be shown the door before the next season kicks off. And someone like Raphael Varane will be the perfect upgrade.

Apart from Chelsea and Manchester United, PSG are also interested in the 28-year-old and some think the defender could snub the Premier League interests and join PSG instead.

Raphael Varane has one more year left on his contract so Real Madrid are willing to let him leave for just €60 million and this makes him an even more lucrative buy in the transfer market this summer.
