Raphinha Leeds United
Elland Road Leeds United

Liverpool have already registered an interest in Leeds United winger Raphinha and it seems like the Anfield outfit are all ready to make their first move.

Raphinha has been a standout performer for the Elland Road outfit this season, scoring six goals and providing nine assists in 30 Premier League games but with clubs like Liverpool ready to pounce, Leeds United could find it really difficult to hold onto him.

According to Mercado Ingles, Liverpool are ready to make their first official bid for the 24-year-old winger and it is said to be in the region of £32million.

Leeds United signed Raphinha from Rennes just last summer so there’s no way Marcelo Bielsa will be ready to cash in on him after just a single season.

But this is Liverpool we are talking about and if the Anfield outfit does make an official offer then the winger’s head could be turned really easily and he could try to force his way out of Leeds United.

As per Transfermarkt, Leeds United had paid £16.72 million for the services of Raphinha so a bid of £32 million seems pretty lucrative. But the winger still has three more years left on his current deal so Leeds are bound to jack up the price.

It is still unclear what Leeds United want to do with Raphinha this summer but if Liverpool can make a crazy enough bid then the Elland Road outfit should crumble under pressure and let the 24-year-old join Jurgen Klopp’s side next season.

But the biggest doubt over this deal will be the fact that Liverpool have Mo Salah amongst their ranks and the Egyptian plays in the same role as Raphinha. So will the 24-year-old be ready to join Liverpool and play second-fiddle to Mo Salah during the 2021-22 campaign?
