Premier League sides Everton, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are keeping a keen eye on RB Leipzig midfielder Amadou Haidara.

The 23-year-old has moved up the ladder at Leipzig since joining them in 2019 and his consistent performances seem to have caught the eye of several major European clubs.

There’s a big chance that all the three Premier League sides will make a move for him during the January transfer window and they will be relying on the pull of the English top division to get a deal done.

RB Leipzig are a club who are not particularly cash stricken but they have been known to sell players if a suitor is willing to pay the right fee.

Will Amadou Haidara move out of RB Leipzig in January?

Both Everton and Spurs are badly in need of reinforcements meaning they are bound to bring in some new players at the start of the new year.

Newcastle United have new owners who will be itching to spend money in January meaning there’s a big chance that Haidara could be playing in the Premier League for the second half of the season.

The 23-year-old has played in 11 Bundesliga games this season and his current deal with RB Leipzig expires in 2025. So the German side are in no hurry to cash in on him.

The midfielder’s contract though has a release clause of €40m but we are not sure if that clause is effective at the start of the new year or not. If the release clause can be trigged in January then RB Leipzig will be totally helpless in trying to hold onto him.

Everton are also looking at a loan deal for Ross Barkley so there’s a chance that they might shy away from paying so much for Amadou Haidara, in which case, Spurs and Newcastle United will be running a two-horse race for the Mali international.
