The Los Blancos are on the lookout for a suitable replacement for Keylor Navas for the next season. And according to Goal, Real Madrid have joined the race to sign Jan Oblak from local rivals Atletico Madrid.

Oblak is already on the shopping list of many a Premier League clubs. Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Arsenal are all supposedly interested in signing the 24-year-old Slovenian. And it looks as if Real Madrid have shown a keen interest in signing the Atletico Madrid No 1.

Zinedine Zidane is already trying to land the likes of Courtois and David de Gea at the Bernabeu. And it seems as if Zidane has now pinpointed out Oblak as a secondary option in case he fails to bring any other goalkeeper.

Jan Oblak has a whopping 100 million euros worth of release clause in his contract and Atletico will definitely not lower the rate for their arch rivals.

But on the other hand, Manchester United are the front runners to sign the Slovenian according to Goal. The Red half of Manchester seemed to have made the most progress in contacting the goalkeeper.

But it would not be surprising if both Zidane and Florentino Perez can play spoilt sport and scoop up Oblak from the hands of Manchester United. But having said that, Manchester United would be more than happy to let Zidane take Oblak. This would mean that United would be able to keep their Spanish No 1 at Old Trafford.
