Real Madrid and Monaco hold held talks over the transfer of Kylian Mbappe.

As per Goal, Real Madrid are eager to bring the talented youngster to the Bernabeu. But Monaco are not really interested in letting the Frenchman go. As a result of which the Ligue 1 side have asked a heavy price for the 18-year-old.

Real Madrid and Monaco hold Mbappe talks to discuss the possible transfer. And it is understood that Monaco are quoting €135 million for the player. This is certainly a huge price tag which easily surpasses Paul Pogba’s record move to Man Utd last summer.

But money will certainly not be an issue for Real Madrid and Florentino Perez. The Los Blancos are set to release Alvaro Morata and James Rodiguez from their ranks. And by selling both these players Madrid can easily gather funds of up to €150 million.

Having said that, Real Madrid will think long and hard before spending such a huge amount of money but that hasn’t stopped them from taking initial steps towards the transfer.

Kylian Mbappe is arguably the next best thing to come out of France and had a breakthrough season in Ligue 1 and the Champions League. But that might not be enough to keep the 18-year-old at the club.

Monaco have already sold Bernardo Silva and are also likely to let go of Benjamin Mendy and Fabinho. Thus it is highly unlikely that the Ligue 1 outfit will be able to replicate their past season heroics. And adding to that Mbappe is known to be a huge admirer of both Real Madrid and Zinedine Zidane.
