Zidane urges his players not to focus on only one aspect of Liverpool’s game: What is it?

Liverpool picked up their third win on the trot as they beat Arsenal 3-0 in the Premier League on Saturday but things could once again go downhill from here onwards since they take on Real Madrid.

The Anfield outfit face Zidane’s men in the first-leg of the Champions League quarter-finals on Tuesday and everyone’s certain that Liverpool will look to have a positive approach towards the match from the very first minute.

Liverpool have players like Van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip out with long-term injuries so obviously Jurgen Klopp will be dependent on his attackers to pick up a win by scoring a couple of away goals.

But the Real Madrid manager has made it clear that it will be foolish to concentrate only on the Liverpool frontline since they have ample players who cause problems all across the pitch.

He said in his press conference: “I think they have players who can cover for the ones who are absent. We also have many players missing, but also have strength in depth. With Liverpool it’s the same. I think they’re a complete team.

“Some might say their strength is their three forwards because they’re very good, and that’s true, but it’s a very solid team as a whole. We know how good their forwards are and how clinical they are, so we need to watch them, but we need to watch everything.

“We can just do our work every day. That’s how this team has been able to turn things around. We never give up.

“As long as there’s hope, we’re alive in both competitions and will keep battling. We’ve had bad moments and now we’re in a good moment, but all of that means nothing yet since we’ve not won anything yet.”

Liverpool have looked shaky in defence ever since Van Dijk and Joe Gomez were ruled out but the pairing of Ozan Kabak and Nat Phillips have done pretty well to stable things at the back in the past couple of weeks.

And with Fabinho back to playing in defensive midfield, the Merseyside outfit look a much more authoritative side so Real Madrid will genuinely have to work their socks off if they wish to keep Liverpool at bay on Tuesday.

Against Arsenal, Liverpool played some of their best football this season and if Klopp’s side can manage to find the same rhythm vs the Los Blancos as well then players like Benzema and Vinicius might not even get a sniff at goal during the 90 minutes.
