Manchester United keeper David De Gea might just be the talks of the transfer market during the summer – if reports are to be believed.

David De Gea was on the verge of moving to Real Madrid a couple of seasons ago but eventually, that move collapsed and the Spaniard ended up signing a new deal at the club.

And now that deal is about to expire and Man United are trying really hard to make David De Gea sign a new deal.

While most reports claim that the keeper wants to stay at Old Trafford and will put pen on paper to the new deal but if recent rumours are to be believed then things could turn south for Man United real soon.

Madrid recently brought back Zinedine Zidane as their new manager and the Frenchman has made it pretty clear that he has no faith in Thibaut Courtois.

Courtois was immediately dropped down the bench and Keylor Navas was reinstated in the first XI during Real’s recent win vs Celta Vigo and reports claim that Zidane is planning to make a move for David De Gea during the summer.

The Real boss has tried to sign the Spain No 1 in the past as well but this time Florentino Perez will be providing the manager with a huge transfer budget and reportedly Zizou will use a large chunk of it to bring in David De Gea.

David De Gea is out of contract this summer but Man United have the option of triggering a one-year extension. But the last thing that the Red Devils would want to do is to take the matter into the final year and risk losing him for free.

If De Gea does not sign a new deal most clubs would be happy to wait for one more year and sign him for free but with the kind of money that Zidane will be getting, we are pretty sure that the multiple Champions League winning boss will not be waiting for so long.

As things stand most pundits still feel that David De Gea will be staying at Manchester United next season but we will have to wait and see what happens when Real Madrid decide to bring in crazy amounts of money in the equation.
