Chelsea are now seriously looking to challenge Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur to the signing of Richarlison, as per the Mail.

The Everton forward has put his future up in the air in recent weeks and the Toffees seem to have finally given up hope of holding onto him. Everton are now ready to listen to offers and will let Richarlison leave for the correct fee.

Spurs and Arsenal have already been linked with the Brazilian and now it seems like Chelsea are also going to join the bandwagon as Tuchel plans a rebuild.

Richarlison netted 10 goals along with five assists in the Premier League last season and he was one of the catalysts in helping Everton avoid relegation. According to some rumours, the striker has already informed the club that he wants to move out in the summer as he now wants a fresh challenge.

Are Chelsea serious about signing the Brazilian?

Thomas Tuchel has reportedly given up hope on Timo Werner which is why he is on the lookout for a new wide attacking player.

The Chelsea manager is also open to selling Werner and maybe this is why the Blues are suddenly pumping up their interest in Richarlison.

The Everton man primarily operates on the left flank but can also play as a support striker so he’s the kind of player who can perfectly adapt to Tuchel’s tactics at Chelsea.

Chelsea could offload Werner, Ziyech and Pulisic all during this transfer window so there’s every chance the Stamford Bridge outfit might launch a formal offer for Richarlison very soon.

Will Arsenal and Tottenham suffer in their pursuit of Richarlison?

For starters, we don’t think Arsenal will make any profound moves for the 25-year-old because they have a very limited transfer budget.

The Gunners are trying their best to sign Gabriel Jesus and Youri Tielemans and once these deals are done, we don’t think they will have enough money left to sign someone like Richarlison.

Everton won’t allow him to leave for a bargain deal, that’s for sure, so Arsenal are not likely to run this particular race.

However, Spurs are very much interested in signing Richarlison and Chelsea’s entry could be a big annoyance for them.

Antonio Conte will anyways struggle to convince the Brazilian international on a move because the Spurs already have Son and Harry Kane in their team and Chelsea’s entry is just going to worsen their chances even more.

If Thomas Tuchel is getting rid of most of his unwanted forwards then Richarlison will obviously choose a move to the Bridge rather than heading to North London and fighting for his place in the first XI.
