Chelsea have agreed on personal terms with Romelu Lukaku and now the only thing left for them to do is make the right offer to Inter Milan and trigger a sale, according to The Independent.

On Tuesday, Fabrizio Romano had updated that the Blues are preparing a fresh cash-plus-player bid for the forward and the Serie A side are willing to part ways with him for the right price.

He updated on Instagram: “Chelsea are preparing a new bid to sign Lukaku this summer after opening proposal yesterday.

“New bid expected around €120/130m from Chelsea after first one turned down by Inter [€100m + Marcos Alonso involved in the deal]. Chelsea are now also offering Lukaku a long term contract for €12m net per season as salary. 🤝

“Now Inter board waiting for the official proposal from Chelsea to take a decision together with Romelu Lukaku on his future.”

Now in another update from The Independent, it’s being claimed that Romelu Lukaku is willing to come back to England and rejoin Chelsea for a second stint.

The report claims: “Lukaku himself is sanguine about the situation. He is happy to stay, but would be willing to return to Chelsea if the opportunity presented itself.”

If a deal is struck then Marcos Alonso should be heading to the Serie A but apart from him, full-back Davide Zappacosta’s name has also been doing the rounds.

Chelsea will not have a problem in letting either of them join Inter if the Italians are willing to sell Romelu Lukaku and since they are already offering a sizeable amount, we don’t see Inter Milan bargaining too much.

The London side originally wanted to sign Erling Haaland but Borussia Dortmund have refused to let him leave this summer. And with the new season just around the corner, Chelsea have gone all out to try and bring Lukaku onboard.
