Chelsea take on Brentford in the Premier League on Saturday and going into this key game, forward Romelu Lukaku was a major selection doubt.

The Belgian was part of the national squad during the international break but he suffered muscle fatigue during this period. And immediately he was a doubt for this weekend’s league encounter.

Even Thomas Tuchel had admitted that Lukaku’s participation was not guaranteed and he would be touch and go.

“Romelu is suffering from muscle overload. I don’t know how long it will take to recover,” the German had said.

“There is an excellent understanding between the two sets of medical staff and we want to do the best for the player.”

Will Romelu Lukaku play this weekend vs Brentford?

Thankfully, all the Chelsea fans can breathe a big sigh of relief since Romelu Lukaku has returned to full training this week meaning he will be available for selection on Saturday.

Chelsea released pictures of their training session on Thursday and in it, the forward can be seen going through his paces without any problem.

A report in the Metro, has also claimed that the Belgian will be fit enough to start against Brentford.

This means Romelu Lukaku will lead the line with Timo Werner and Mason Mount playing just behind him.

Romelu Lukaku has started six games in the Premier League this season for Chelsea managing to score three goals and given that Brentford are a newly promoted side, the forward will be expecting to add more goals to his tally on Saturday.
