Romelu Lukaku is pushing really hard to move out of Chelsea and return to Inter this summer and it looks like the Blues are going to finally grant him that wish.

As per Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have made up their mind to let the Belgian return to Inter on a loan deal and right now, they are soon going to hold talks with the Serie A side.

Romano wrote on Twitter: “Inter are now prepared to open direct talks with Chelsea to discuss about Romelu Lukaku and loan deal details. Lukaku has held discussions with Chelsea – but it’s now time for direct contact between clubs.

“Loan fee, salary and more will be discussed with Inter soon.”

Romelu Lukaku moving to Inter might hurt Chelsea:

Chelsea paid a hell lot of money to bring him on board just one year ago so sending him back on loan will be a massive financial blow to the club.

However, the bad news seems to be piling up for the Blues because as per the latest rumours, Inter are fully trying to exploit this situation.

Chelsea want around £20 million as loan fee but the Serie A side are willing to pay only £7-9 million for Lukaku.

If this report is true then it’s a major setback for Chelsea because since this will be a loan move, the club will also have to bear a portion of Lukaku’s salary while he is at Inter.

The Blues are not in need of money but this is certainly not a good business arrangement because not only will Romelu Lukaku get what he wants but Chelsea will also have to accept defeat.

Will Tuchel consider holding onto Romelu Lukaku?

The other option for Thomas Tuchel will be to hold onto him and pray that he can revive his form next season but we don’t think the manager is going to take that risk.

Firstly, he won’t want to hold onto a player who wishes to leave at any cost and on top of that, Tuchel cannot risk having another campaign where his lead striker scores only eight league goals.

If this was Roman Abramovich he would have shunned all talks and kept Romelu Lukaku rotting on the benches but we don’t think the new owners will do that. Todd Boehly has acquired Chelsea as a business venture so he will not want to lose out on any incoming funds, may that be £20 million or even £9 million.
