Ronaldo wants to leave Al-Nassr but can he actually do it?

Cristiano Ronaldo

Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo is claiming that Cristiano Ronaldo is not happy with life in Saudi Arabia and he wants to leave asap.

The forward joined Al-Nassr in a two-and-a-half-year deal but as per the rumours, he has not settled down in the Middle East. Ronaldo feels Al-Nassr’s infrastructure is ‘very far from modern society’.

He’s scored 13 goals in 14 league appearances but he is ready to leave in the summer, in the hopes of returning to Europe before the next season begins. This news has obviously spread like wildfire but his agency has been equally quick to come out and deny these reports, claiming that Cristiano Ronaldo is happy and content at Al-Nassr.

Will Cristiano Ronaldo be able to leave Al-Nassr?

Ronaldo’s contract with Manchester United was terminated during the middle of the season and he had nowhere to go which is why he had to join Al-Nassr.

However, a player like him will want to play with the best in the world and Europe is the only place where he can do that.

His agency has obviously denied the exit rumours but we think Ronaldo very much wants to leave but he understands that this will not be a walk in the park.

CR7 will have to pay a huge compensation fee if he wants to terminate his contract early and some reports have suggested that can also be handed a four-month suspension if he wishes to move to Europe in the summer.

Ronaldo is the biggest asset not only for Al-Nassr but for the whole of Saudi Arabia so there’s no way they will mutually terminate his contract after just a few months.

The Portuguese must have understood that it is nearly impossible to leave in the summer without paying huge compensation which is probably why his agency has come out to refute all these claims.

If a decent club comes in with an offer for him, Cristiano Ronaldo will not think twice before leaving but because he’s earning €200 million per season, Al-Nassr will try everything in their might to not let him go.
