Arsenal and Manchester United have been heavily linked with Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves but as per Inside Futbol, Wolves are not necessarily looking to push him out this summer.

The report cites The Athletic: “Arsenal and Manchester United have been credited with an interest in Ruben Neves, but Wolves are not anticipating his sale this summer, according to The Athletic.

“It was claimed at the start of the transfer window that Wolves are prepared to cash in on the 24-year-old as they look to raise funds to add new players to the squad.

“Despite claims that Wolves are prepared to cash in on the former FC Porto midfielder this summer, they are not actively looking to sell him.”

Will Wolves be ready to sell Ruben Neves?

According to this report, the only reason why Wolves are ready to hold onto Ruben Neves is that both the interested clubs have shown no real intention of signing the Portuguese international.

And if we are right then neither Arsenal nor Manchester United will make a move for him in the next few weeks.

Arsenal are likely to stop the pursuit of a new central midfielder now that Granit Xhaka is not heading out of the club and Manchester United already have several players who perform the sale role as the Wolves midfielder.

As far as Arsenal are concerned, it does not make sense for them to spend money in an area where there are already some pretty good players. Mikel Arteta would much rather use the funds to try and bring in a world-class No 10.

Manchester United have been linked with other midfielders like Saul Niguez and Camavinga so Solskjaer is not particularly pushing for a move for Ruben Neves right now.

That being said, Wolves should not have any problem in letting Neves leave during the ongoing transfer window if a club is willing to pay around £35 million for the 24-year-old.
