Man United are expected to go all out to sign Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves and it looks like Arsenal are not going to challenge, despite remaining interested for the longest time.

According to a report in The Sun, Ralf Rangnick is hell-bent to sign a new world-class central midfielder for the remainder of the season and after scouting several players the interim manager has set his eyes on the Wolves man.

Arsenal have also been linked with Ruben Neves but if the latest gossip is correct then the Gunners are not expected to make a move for the midfielder during the ongoing transfer window.

Will Ruben Neves join Manchester United this month?

Wolves are preparing for life without Ruben Neves and they are seemingly ready to cash in on him in the coming days.

The Molineux outfit are looking to secure a transfer fee of around £40 million and it’s being assumed that Manchester United’s initial bid is really close to this demand.

The Sun are proclaiming that United are ready to offer £35 million and we have a feeling this amount should be good enough to secure a transfer well before deadline day. Wolves are not going to bicker over a few million especially since the player has his heart set on moving out.

Mikel Arteta has made it clear that they are badly in need of a midfielder saying: “We are very, very short at the moment. We are going to move and look for options because we are very short there”.

So definitely the Gunners are trying to sign a new midfielder but it’s just that the club are not interested in challenging for the Wolves midfielder.

And this is certainly great news for Manchester United who are badly in need of a midfield upgrade.

Fred and McTominay have been really poor this season and even Matic has failed to come up with the goods. Now if someone like Ruben Neves comes in then Man United could once again turn into a top-quality side.

Neves is ready for an upgrade and despite United’s poor form this season, the midfielder is bound to leave Wolves and join the Old Trafford outfit during the January transfer window.
