Wolves’ Ruben Neves has been eyed by multiple Premier League sides and as per the latest rumours, Barcelona are also keen to make a move for the midfielder.

A recent report had suggested that Barcelona are still undecided about trying to sign Ruben Neves but several experts in Spain are suggesting that the Spanish side will try and sign Neves as they look for a long-term replacement for Sergio Busquets.

Busquets is already 33 years old which is why Xavi is keen to start the process of finding his heir and it seems like the Spanish manager has earmarked the Wolves man as the perfect candidate.

Ruben Neves joined Wolves in 2017 and since then he has turned himself into one of the key players for the Molineux outfit, playing in 206 games across all competitions. He has played in 27 league matches this season and he has a rating of 7.54 out of 10.

Will Ruben Neves snub PL interest to move to Spain?

Barcelona aren’t the only side who are interested in the Wolves man because teams like Arsenal and Manchester United have also been linked with him.

The two English sides have been keeping tabs on the 25-year-old for more than a year and both of them will are sure to make a move for him at the end of this season.

Paul Merson had recently admitted that Neves is likely to leave in the summer and a player of his calibre can play for even the juggernauts.

“I don’t see him being at Wolves next season,” Merson had said on Soccer Saturday, as quoted.

“Where do you want to go? He could play at Arsenal in their midfield, Manchester United, he could. I think he could go to Arsenal, he could go to Liverpool, if I am being honest.”

Man United badly need a defensive midfielder while Arsenal are looking at Neves as the replacement for Granit Xhaka but if a team like Barcelona come calling then the EPL sides could fall down the pecking order.

Xavi is building something special at Camp Nou so the Wolves man might not want to miss the opportunity to be a part of it. Also, Wolves will ideally want to send him out of the Premier League so Arsenal, as well as Man United, are currently at a disadvantage.

Despite Barca’s financial crunch players like Aubameyang, Traore and Ferran Torres have happily left their club to head to the Camp Nou and it won’t be a surprise if Ruben Neves also followed suit.
