Rangers FC might have lost the season’s first Old Firm Derby more than a week ago but the off-field battles are still raging on.

First, it was the Ryan Jack foul which grabbed all the headlines after the game as many believed the referee failed to award the decision in favour of the Light Blues shortly after which the Hoops scored the only goal of the game.

Then it was the turn of the Celtic fans to hurl abuses at their Glasgow rivals when Allan McGregor escaped a punishment for flicking a leg at a Celtic player.

Now there is a third debate on the table and it involves Celtic’s Ryan Christie and Gers defender Connor Goldson.

Goldson was booked for a foul on Christie after which the Rangers man accused him of going down too easily.

And now Ryan has responded by saying“He was right in my face, wasn’t he?

“I haven’t watched it again but, from what I can remember, I’m pretty sure he pulled my shirt. I don’t know whether or not I would have got on the end of my first touch. But I certainly didn’t think it was a dive.”

And this response from Ryan Christie has drawn some heavy criticism since video replays showed that the Celtic man clearly went down too easily.

Yes, there was a slight pull from Goldson but it was nowhere close to what Ryan has described.
