Arsenal and Leicester City are set to reignite their interest in Saints winger Mohamed Elyounoussi, as per the Sunday Mirror.

The 27-year-old had a really slow start to life in the Premier League and he even had to move out on loan for two years. But this season, things are finally looking bright for him at St Mary’s.

TEAMtalk cites the Sunday Mirror writing: “Southampton attacker Mohamed Elyounoussi has somewhat surprisingly emerged back onto the radars of two Premier League clubs expected to challenge for European places.

“According to the Sunday Mirror, Arsenal and Leicester are keeping tabs on the 27-year-old.

“Capable of playing as a winger or, on occasion, a centre-forward, Elyounoussi could provide cover in the areas Arsenal and Leicester feel they need to reinforce.”

Mohamed Elyounoussi set to leave the Saints in January?

Mohamed Elyounoussi has played in six Premier League games so far this season, scoring one goal and his second lifeline with the club is turning out to be much more fruitful.

This is not the first time that Arsenal and Leicester City have been linked with the Saints winger as they had tried to sign him back in 2018 as well.

But since then, all those rumours had completely died down only to resurface in the past few days.

Elyounoussi’s current deal with the Saints expires in 2023 so the club are in no hurry to cash in on him which is why we are confident that Hasenhuttl will not let him leave during the middle of the season.

He’s not a very big asset for the club so the Saints will not shy away from selling him but a deal will only be possible at the end of this campaign.

The winger’s current market value is £10.8 million so a fee of around £15-20 million should be enough to sign him. And this price bracket will not be a problem for the Gunners or the Foxes.
