This 26 Y/O Spanish midfielder pushes for a summer exit: Heading to the Premier League?

Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez has seen his importance diminish at the club and as per the AS, the player has asked to leave this summer.

The 26-year-old is under contract with the Spanish side until 2026 but despite that, as many as three major Premier League sides are interested in signing him.

The report claims, as translated: “Saúl is going to be the soap opera of the summer at Atlético.

“The side has permission from the club to leave as long as he leaves a significant amount of money in the coffers of the entity.

“At 26, he has a contract until 2026 and his clause is 150 million. The market value of him is 40 million and in the Premier he has a very good poster.

“Manchester City, United, Liverpool … are very attentive to his future at Atlético.”

Is Saul Niguez on his way to the Premier League?

Saul Niguez is undoubtedly one of the finest central midfielders in the La Liga right now and if the reports of him leaving are true then clubs like Man City, Man United and Liverpool are bound to be interested.

Man United have already been linked with a player like Camavinga but if Saul is available then we think Ole will much rather put his money on the tried and tested Atletico Madrid man.

Liverpool have a couple of midfielders in their first-team squad right now but there are reports that Naby Keita could be leaving so we can understand why Jurgen Klopp will be interested in Saul Niguez.

As far as Man City are concerned, Pep Guardiola is going all out to win the Champions League this time around and the reigning EPL champions are being linked with all the top available players in Europe.

AS are claiming that the Spaniard’s market value is around €40m, something which all the English clubs will be more than happy to pay.

Saul Niguez has five more years left on his current deal so Atletico Madrid are surely not going to get down to negotiations since a valuation of €40m seems pretty fair for a midfielder who has played 337 games for the club, scoring 43 and assisting 19 goals.
