Scotland will kick off their European Championship campaign on Monday when they take on the Czech Republic at Hampden Park.

Scotland managed to avoid defeat in both their pre-EURO friendlies and the biggest boost for them will be the fact that they also drew against Netherlands last week.

Steve Clarke’s side are unbeaten in five ahead of their Euro 2020 campaign which should give them some much-needed confidence going into Monday’s game and they have also won their last 3 matches against Czech Republic in all competitions.

The Scott are in Group D which also has England and Croatia so Clarke’s men will be eager to pick up a win on Monday and give themselves a better chance to qualify for the knockout stages.

Scotland team news vs Czech Republic:

Steve Clarke has a fully fit squad to choose from and the manager is expected to use a 3-5-2 formation just to make things a bit more secure since this their first game of EURO 2020.

Keiran Tierney has been in great form for Arsenal during the 2020-21 season and he is going to start as the left-sided central defender along with Grant Hanley and Jack Hendry.

Tierney in central defence means Andy Robertson is going to get a left full-back role with Stephen O’Donnell likely to play on the right-hand side.

Young Billy Gilmour was taken off against Luxembourg during their final pre-EURO match but the Chelsea man is not an injury concern for the opener. But despite him being fit, we do not expect him to start in midfield especially when the Scotland boss has players like McGinn and Scott McTominay.

QPR striker Lyndon Dykes has been in great form this past season, scoring 12 goals in the Championship and he is going to start up front alongside Che Adams.

Adams has also been in fine nick for Southampton, netting nine goals in 36 Premier League games in the 2020/21 campaign.

Scotland predicted line-up vs Czech Republic:

Predicted Starting Line-up(3-5-2): Marshall; Kieran Tierney, Grant Hanley, Jack Hendry; McTominay, McGinn, McGregor, Andy Robertson, Stephen O’Donnell; Che Adams, Lyndon Dykes.
