Arsenal take on Liverpool next weekend in the Premier League and left-back Sead Kolasinac is going to be an absentee for this high-profile game.
The full-back was playing for Bosnia & Herzegovina on Saturday when he was on the receiving end of a nasty challenge on his ankle.
Kolasinac had to come off as a result of the injury and he is most certainly going to be unavailable for the Liverpool vs Arsenal game on Saturday.
This injury though will have little impact on Mikel Arteta’s team selection since the 28-year-old has hardly featured for Arsenal this season.
During the 2021/22 season, Sead Kolasinac has played in only two Premier League games and he’s not even featured in the matchday squad for seven out of the nine matches so far.
Kieran Tierney is the first-choice left-back for Arsenal and they have 21-year-old Nuno Tavares as the backup. So even if Kolasinac’s injury is serious, it will not be a cause of concern for the manager.
Oh, this is a nasty tackle directed to Arsenal's Sead Kolasinac, i hope he is okay.

On a personal front though, this will be a major setback for the left-back since he was planning for an exit at the start of the new year.
He’s found it really hard to break into the first-team this season which is why he wanted to leave Arsenal during the January transfer window. But if his ankle injury is serious then there’s no way any club will be buying him.
Sead Kolasinac suffered a similar injury while on international duty back in September but then he had managed to recover in less than a week. This time around the 28-year-old will be hoping to make a similar recovery this time around.
