Paul Pogba could move out of Manchester United this summer and it looks like Man United are planning to make a move for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic as a replacement – according to reports.
There were a huge debate about Pogba’s exit this summer but with Jose Mourinho being sacked everyone was certain that the Frenchman would remain at Old Trafford beyond the summer.
But then a couple of weeks ago he made a statement which alerted the likes of Real Madrid and Juventus of his availability.
The midfielder said: “After this season and everything that happened this season, with my season being my best season as well, I think for me it could be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else.
“I am thinking of this, to have a new challenge somewhere else.”
And now reports are suggesting that Juventus are keen to bring in the midfielder this summer and are planning to offer as much as £120 million in order to sign the World Cup winner.
Now it seems that Solskjaer has come to the conclusion that it will be really hard for the club to hold onto Pogba against his will as a result of which they are trying to sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic currently plays for Lazio having joined the club in 2015 from Genk. And it looks like the Serie A club are ready to sell him off this summer for the right price.
Initial reports claimed that Lazio were demanding somewhere in the region of £107million but now Man United are planning to make a bid of £67million which is expected to be the fair market value of the central midfielder.
Man United have already lost Ander Herrera to PSG and now both Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic could also head out of the club.
So naturally making a move for someone like Sergej Milinkovic-Savic makes absolute sense.
But what some experts feel that instead of spending so much money to bring in a midfielder, the Man United boss should use that money in order to try and restore his defensive line.
