Arsenal are planning to sign Sheffield United players Aaron Ramsdale and Sander Berge in a joint deal and according to the Daily Star, the Gunners are willing to spend as much as £50 million for the pair.
The report suggests: “Arsenal are plotting a £50 million raid of Sheffield United but they want two players from the steel city.
“The Gunners are hoping to land both goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale and midfielder Sanger Berge with the promise of Premier League football.
“The Blades currently find themselves in the Championship having finished bottom of the top flight last season but will not be letting their star men leave on the cheap; £50 million may not be enough.”
Will Arsenal be able to land the two Sheffield United players?
Sheffield United boss Slavisa Jokanovic has made it pretty clear that he does not wish to part ways with his star players during the ongoing transfer window despite some of them being lured by top-flight football.
“If you ask me if I will sell, no,” he said when asked about Ramsdale and Berge.
“I am happy with their professionalism. I will be hurt if they leave my team. I understand this possibility exists but I hope that will not happen.”

At Arsenal, Ramsdale and Sander Berge might fulfil their ambition of playing in the Premier League but they will not be regular starters for the team next season.
Bernd Leno is and will be the No 1 for the Gunners and with Granit Xhaka staying at the club, Sander Berge will also find it hard to break into the starting line-up.
Sander Berge is currently valued at £16 million while Aaron Ramsdale is valued at £10 million. So it makes no real sense to pay £50-odd million for two players who might not even be regular starters next season.
It will much sensible on Arsenal’s part to try and bring in someone like Andre Onana as Leno’s backup and use the money to sign Ruben Neves from Wolves, a midfielder who is available at around £35 million.
