Leroy Sane Germany Man City World Cup

Germany manager Joachim Low today announced his 23-man provisional squad for the World Cup and the biggest shocker is Leroy Sane who has been left out of the squad scheduled to travel to Russia.

Sane who plays for Manchester City had been voted the Premier League young player of the year scored 14 goals and provided 19 assists for Pep Guardiola’s side.

But it seems that all those amazing stats was not enough for him to book a place in Germany’s World Cup squad.

Low has admitted that it was a “very close decision” between Sane and Julian Brandt. Brandt plays for Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen and had scored 12 goals and provided 7 assists in the 2017-18 season.
