Aaron Ramsey might not have been a success at Rangers but Ally McCoist wants Giovanni van Bronckhorst to give him a start in the Europa League final.
The Welsh international has been a disappointment since joining the Gers on loan in January but whenever he’s been fit, the playmaker has come up with some fine displays.
His career has seen a downgrade since moving to the Serie A but he’s played in some of the best teams in Europe and McCoist wants to see him on the pitch from the very first minute.
“He does for me. I just think he’s absolute quality,” McCoist replied when asked if Ramsey should start on BT Sport, as quoted.
“I think this would be the dream scenario for him.
“These are the games he plays in, these are the games he relishes.”
🗣️"We have a chance of creating history for this club."

Will the Rangers boss give a start to Aaron Ramsey?
He’s played only seven Premiership games since his loan move in January but in the quarter-finals against Braga, he was one of the standout players for the Gers.
In fact, since the last week of March, Ramsey has been pretty consistent, barring that final Old Firm Derby.
Almost none of the Rangers players would have been on such a grand stage before so the manager needs someone like Aaron Ramsey on the pitch to be able to calm things down whenever needed.
Apart from the experience, he’s still a world-class talent and if he is 100% fit then he can very well turn out to be the point of difference between Rangers and their German opponents.
GVB is likely to play with a false 9 system in the final and the last time he had used this formation was against RB Leipzig in the semi-final and while he missed the 1st leg with an injury, Aaron Ramsey had started the 2nd leg on the bench.
