Lucas Moura is expected to fall down the pecking order after Perisic and Kulusevksi’s arrival but manager Antonio Conte is not likely to show him the door.

Everton manager Frank Lampard has shown an interest in signing the winger and even AS Roma has been linked with the winger. Mourinho had previously worked with the winger and the ex-Spurs boss is said to be keen to bring him on board at Roma.

However, Antonio Conte has no intentions of parting ways with Lucas Moura, instead, he’s likely to use the 29-year-old in a new role next season.

Speaking recently, Conte said, as quoted: “I spoke to Lucas and I think this could be a good option (at wing-back).

“In the past I made Perisic in this position. Before a winger and to become a wing-back. He has the quality. The most important thing is the player has to be 100% ready to do it, but he is available for us.

“Lucas can play in many roles. I’m very happy for his commitment and tonight I think he played a good game.”

Despite the new arrivals, Lucas Moura has shown no signs of discontent and in a recent interview, the winger talked about his hopes of winning a trophy with Tottenham Hotspur.

He had said: “I lifted a trophy with Sao Paulo, with PSG and with the national team, and I want a trophy here with Tottenham. And I believe this season I can achieve this.”

Conte has managed to bring back Champions League football to the club so squad depth will play a key role for him next season. He will need at least two players in every department if he wishes to seriously challenge the likes of Man City and Liverpool.

Also, we have the World Cup at the end of this calendar year and since Lucas Moura isn’t likely to be part of the Brazilian team, he will remain fresh for the second half of the season.
