Juventus forward Paulo Dybala could leave Turin in the summer but Premier League side Chelsea do not seem interested in signing him, Fabrizio Romano has claimed.

“Someone is asking me about Dybala because he is not extending at the moment his contract with Juventus, so there is nothing decided, but if he doesn’t extend his contract with Juventus before the summer, I think he will leave Juventus,” Romano said on his Here We Go podcast, as reported by the Express.

“I want to say that Chelsea have not made any contact with Dybala or his agent.

“They want to defend players like Havertz or Hakim Ziyech. They are happy with them.

“Obviously, they need time to be at their best level, in particular Havertz needs time, he’s so young, but they spend like €100m on Havertz, so they don’t want to say after one year we’ll go with Dybala and Havertz will sit on the bench, so at the moment there is nothing between Chelsea and Dybala.”

Should Chelsea try and sign Paulo Dybala?

We can understand that Chelsea want to back Kai Havertz and Timo Werner since they paid a lot of money to sign them in the summer. But what Lampard also has to realize is that a player like Paulo Dybala is not available so often.

Dybala is yet to sign a new deal and many experts think that he wants to move to the Premier League next season. And seriously we think Chelsea should try and sign him up.

Obviously, it will not be easy to sign the Argentine since clubs like Man City, Man United and Liverpool will all jump in but with the financial power that Chelsea have, it’s worth a try.

The 27-year-old can play in the centre-forward’s role pretty well and with Tammy Abraham not impressing this season plus Olivier Giroud at the twilight of his career, Paulo Dybala could be the perfect replacement.

We obviously haven’t heard the last of this and if Havertz and Timo Werner cannot up their game during the remainder of the season then the Blues think tank could very well reconsider their decision.
