Premier League side WHUFC are interested in signing striker Youssef En-Nesyri from Sevilla, claims Football Insider.

The Hammers have been reliant on Michail Antonio and Danny Ings to lead the line this season but the former is 34 years old while Ings is 31 and the London side are in desperate need of an upgrade before the next season begins.

With a new manager coming in, WHUFC are expected to launch a summer bid for Sevilla’s Youssef En-Nesyri – a player who has done really well for Sevilla over the previous couple of seasons in the La Liga.

Should WHUFC spend money on Youssef En-Nesyri?

The 6″2′ player is a sort of a complete striker whose physicality and his movement inside the box make him the ideal goal-scoring machine. He likes to play on the shoulder of the last line and is always eager to attack empty spaces. En-Nesyri is also blessed with pace which makes him a major threat in turnover scenarios.

In 2305 minutes of league football, the 26-year-old has an xG of 10.12 and out of the 15 league goals he’s scored this season, only one has come from the penalty spot. He also has an exceptional conversion rate because the 15 goals he’s scored have come from only 29 shots on target.

He has been with Sevilla since 2020 and has scored 72 goals for the Spanish side. This season, he has been particularly outstanding as the 26-year-old has scored 15 league goals and two Champions League goals in just 36 appearances.

This is not the first time that WHUFC have shown an interest in Youssef En-Nesyri because last summer, West Ham and Newcastle wanted to sign him.

Last year, Sevilla were demanding around €40 million and the Spanish side should stick to this same valuation because the Moroccan international’s contract is going to expire in 2025. It’s unlikely that the striker is going to sign a new deal however, a summer transfer is not going to be so straightforward for West Ham United.

WHUFC are not the only club who are interested in En-Nesyri because AC Milan and even Al-Hilal are said to be keeping tabs on him.

Youssef En-Nesyri is a renowned goal-scorer who has scored 100 goals for Sevilla and the Morocco national team and if the Hammers have the opportunity to sign him for around €40-50 million, he can be the ideal solution to the two ageing West Ham strikers.
