Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is under extreme pressure right now and just to make matters worse, Man United take on Jose Mourinho’s Spurs in the Premier League on Wednesday.

Mourinho will be itching to get revenge after his sacking from United late last year and many believe if Spurs can pick up all three points vs the OT outfit then Solskjaer could very well suffer the same fate as his predecessor.

As per rumours, the Man United hierarchy had been backing Solskjaer but now that Mauricio Pochettino is a free agent, they are not willing to be too lenient on the Norwegian.

There are fears if the home side are outclassed and outperformed on Wednesday then Ole might be sacked. But surprisingly, when he was asked about this rumour, the manager chose to remain eerily calm.

‘I’m good, it’s absolutely no problem,’ said the Man United manager.

‘Sometimes you laugh when you read stories about what I’ve said and stuff. At least I know the sources everyone is talking about aren’t sources.

‘No[the sacking of fellow EPL managers], it doesn’t make me more concerned. I’m just focusing on my job and that’s doing as well as I can and look forward to the next game, but also look long-term, plan things with the board.

‘It’s that time of year. It’s never nice to see your colleagues lose their jobs — now three in a very short space of time.

‘Some of them, you can talk about VAR all day long but one result, for example, the Southampton v Watford one with that handball — [if it is called] we are talking about something completely different maybe. It’s a game of margins.

‘Sometimes you have luck, sometimes you don’t, but it doesn’t make me more concerned it’s December.’
