EXPERT OPINION: Here are three games that Ole must which in order to become the permanent Man United boss

Man United are yet to lose a match ever since Ole Solskjaer took charge of the club late in December.

The Molde manager was brought in until the end of the season and his primary job was to bring the happiness back amongst the fans.

And the former Man United striker has done just that by asking his players to play attractive and attacking football every time they step onto the pitch.

While Man United have blown away smaller teams, the Red Devils have also managed to pick up important wins vs big sides like Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.




And before the arrival of Solskjaer, finishing in the top four was looking like a far-fetched dream but now the Old Trafford outfit are now just two points adrift that fourth spot on the Premier League table.

Now there are numerous reports claiming that the Man United management are actually giving a serious thought at the prospect of making Solskjaer the next permanent manager at the club.

But former teammate Gary Neville feels that the interim boss needs to win three key games in order for him to be the favourite.




‘If they beat Chelsea, beat PSG, beat Liverpool, Solskjaer is absolutely in the box seat and you’d be saying, ‘How can you not give it to him?’,’ Neville told Sky Sports.




‘The club have appointed two big names with the last two appointments and it hasn’t worked out.

‘The idea of Ole going through that run of fixtures and coming out of it well, you couldn’t sit here conceivably and see another manager.

‘But I think Ole himself will think, ‘Let’s get through February and March and if I’m doing what I’m doing now, I’ve staked a claim’.




‘At this moment he is staking a claim but he knows there is massive challenges to come.’




As things stand, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is still the favourite to become the next Man United manager and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has always maintained that he is here at the club until the management find the right long-term replacement.

But deep down inside even the Norwegian knows that he has a great shot at replicating Sir Alex Ferguson’s regime at Man United.
